I actually made a paper snowflake for last years Thing-A-Day, but I ran out of time today and I needed a quick thing to do, so I made another one for this year.
It’s a loving tribute to this polar vortex thing that simply will not end.

Recycling is fun!
It’s a bit hard to see in this photo, but the cardboard really does form a clover shape in the middle there.
I made this star out of the cardboard from a cereal box. I may paint it gold or stick some sparkles to it later.
I need to get some real origami paper.
